Oracle Cloud EPM to Power BI
Conncise generates the Power BI model from your Oracle Cloud EPM applications automatically, with hierarchies, relationships and business logic intact. Totals match Oracle, and drill-downs work from day one.
PBCS has the forecast. FCCS has the actuals. Power BI has neither.
Oracle Cloud EPM is where the numbers get made: budgets and forecasts in Planning, consolidated actuals in FCCS. Reporting is another story. It runs on Smart View retrieves, extracts pasted into PowerPoint decks, and a monthly routine that starts over every close. Meanwhile the rest of the company reports in Power BI, and Finance keeps being asked why its numbers are not there yet.
No standard connection exists. So teams build exports.
Power BI has no standard connection to Oracle Cloud EPM. Its built-in Oracle connectors reach databases, not EPM applications. So every Power BI plan starts with an export route: data extract files, EPM Automate jobs, a Smart View sheet refreshed by hand.
Exports move data, and only data. Dimensions arrive as columns, members as rows, and the structure that gives them meaning stays behind in Oracle. The semantic model has to be rebuilt by hand in Power BI: dimension tables, relationships, hierarchies, consolidation logic, sign behavior. Months of work, and every outline change reopens it.
Conncise is the connection that brings the model with it. It reads data and metadata straight from your applications and generates the Power BI semantic model, automatically.
Built for the whole suite.
Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM is a suite, and Conncise connects with all of it.
Planning (PBCS and EPBCS)
Actual, Budget and Forecast side by side in Power BI, with the Planning outline behind them. Totals match Planning.
Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)
Consolidated actuals with the structure behind them: entity rollups, currencies and movement detail. Totals match FCCS.

Reads your applications
Conncise connects to your Oracle Cloud EPM environment and reads the applications you scope. Nothing to configure in Oracle.
Generates the semantic model
Built from your own metadata: dimension tables, relationships, hierarchies and business logic, ready in Power BI.
Keeps it current
Data refreshes on the schedule you choose. Outline changes update the model in the same run, with nothing to rebuild.
Totals match Oracle.
What an export strips out is exactly what Conncise delivers, generated and kept up to date.
A Smart View retrieve keeps its meaning in the sheet: which members, which order, which totals. Power BI needs that meaning in the model. Conncise puts it there, so every report built on the model reads the way Finance expects.
- HierarchiesThe outline's rollups, with consolidation operators.
- Account typesRevenue and Asset accounts aggregate correctly.
- Drill-downFrom any parent down to base level.
- Alternate hierarchiesShared-member rollups, without the data duplication.
- Custom

Common questions.
Is there a Power BI connector for Oracle Cloud EPM?
No. Power BI's built-in Oracle connectors reach Oracle databases, not Oracle Cloud EPM applications. Conncise makes that connection: it reads your applications directly and generates the Power BI model from them, so totals match Oracle and drill-downs work.
Which Oracle EPM products does Conncise work with?
All of them. Planning in every form you may know it by (PBCS, EPBCS, Oracle EPM Cloud Planning), Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), Tax Reporting (TRCS), Free Form and Enterprise Profitability. Hyperion applications such as HFM and Essbase are covered as well.
Does Conncise work with FCCS?
Yes. Conncise reads your FCCS application directly and generates the Power BI model from it. Entity rollups, currencies and movement detail come through, and both Periodic and YTD views match FCCS.
Does Conncise work with PBCS and EPBCS?
Yes. Conncise connects to Planning in any form, PBCS and EPBCS included. Actual, Budget and Forecast arrive side by side in Power BI, and totals match Planning.
Does Conncise require changes in my Oracle applications?
No. Nothing new runs on the Oracle side: no export jobs to schedule, nothing to redesign in your applications.
Do numbers in Power BI match Oracle?
Yes. Consolidation operators and account behavior carry over, so a total in Power BI rolls up exactly as it does in Oracle.
What happens when our outline changes?
The model updates with your metadata, in the same run as your data. New members, moved members and new rollups come through without rework.
Where does our data live?
In your own Azure tenant, under your own security. Conncise has no cloud of its own.
How long does implementation take?
Within a week. Conncise is software you install, not a project you staff. After that, building reports is normal Power BI work.
